Michigan Entrepreneur TV: What it Takes to Start a Bank

Mr. Robert E. Farr, President and CEO of Birmingham Bloomfield Bancshares and the Bank of Birmingham in Organization joins Michigan Entrepreneur to discuss what it takes to start a bank. Michigan Entrepreneur is a weekly television talk show featuring Michigan business leaders as well as organizations that promote and support entrepreneurship. This program is produced and hosted by executive coach Tara Alexandra Kachaturoff.

Birmingham, MI (PRWEB) May 11, 2006 — This week’s program features Mr. Robert E. Farr, President and CEO of Birmingham Bloomfield Bancshares and the Bank of Birmingham in Organization. He has been actively engaged in the business of banking for more than twenty-five years, twenty years of which have been in the Birmingham/Bloomfield market.

Mr. Farr most recently served as Regional Director of Private Banking (Michigan) for TCF Bank from 2001 to 2003 until leaving to organize Bank of Birmingham. Before joining TCF Bank, he served from 1997-2000 as the Regional Director of Private Banking (Eastern Michigan) and as a senior lender for Fifth Third Bank (formerly Old Kent Bank).

He began his banking career in 1978 at Michigan National Bank of Detroit as a loan officer and credit analyst and has also held officer level positions at National Bank of Detroit, Metrobank, Comerica Bank and Michigan National Bank. A Michigan native, Mr. Farr is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He is also actively involved in the community.

Michigan Entrepreneur is a weekly television talk show featuring businesses from start-up to stellar. It’s a community access television program based and produced in Oakland County, Michigan, in partnership with Bloomfield Community Television (BCTV).
